In this section I will be discussing in more details the controllers that come with a console, the console that i choose to talk about is the Xbox one with the Controller and Kinect 2.0 discussed more in depth than in the other sections i have done about controllers.

The Xbox Kinect

The Xbox kinect is essentially a controller that uses voice and body gestures to navigate the UI and sometimes control the games. The Xbox kinect Can recognise faces and can also be used as a means of communication to friends using an inbuilt mic and camera you can socialise with friends through applications like Skype and party chat.

The Kinect's software has the ability to learn how people do by looking at the gestures of people in the real world. The Xbox kinect is able to capture the motion gestures of people and use it for controlling the Xbox games almost like a Nintendo Wii.

The Xbox kinect has a 1080p wide angle camera, active infared sensor this allows it to see in the dark and a multi microphone array.

below is a picture that shows the insides of the Xbox One kinect and I will be explaining in detail what each part is used for and what it does.

Above is an image of inside the Xbox One Kinect, The bottom part of the Kinect is the motherboard, this allows parts of the Kinect to communicate with each other.

On the motherboard there is the power supply port which is plugged in the back of an Xbox One to send power to the device and allow them to communicate.

The Rectangle part of the Kinect is the three IR blasters that shoot allow it to detect movement more accurately, to the right is the cameras which allow the Kinect to take pictures and record video at high resolutions.

The Xbox controller

The Xbox One controller is based on the Xbox 360 controller but includes more features that improve the quality of gameplay and improves on the features that were on the previous consoles controller.

This controller feels great to hold and doesn't induce any fatigue after a while of use, all of the buttons are in comfortable positions and are quite satisfying to push.

Below is a picture of inside the Xbox One controller

The part that looks like a plus is the Dpad it is used to control the direction usually on the UI this part of the controller isn't necessary as the toggles do exactly the same but they are more accurate when going through the UI.

Looking at the buttons on the right; A is most always used to accept things or jump, B is often always used to go back or decline things or crouch in most games, X is often used to open menu's within games or releod in first person shooters, Y is usually used for swapping weapons in first person shooters and as power move on arcade fighters.

The round things at the bottom of the controller: These are Vibration motors it is used to warn the player that they are being shot in first person shooters, being chased in horror games or as a way to warn the player of a dangerous enemy or boss in a role playing game, the vibration motors work by using magnets that bounce up and down quickly.

The stick on the left of the controller is the left toggle stick it is used for movement almost like the Dpad but more accurate, it also allows you to move about in the UI of the Xbox One, the other Toggle is used to control the camera direction on 3D games and both toggles can be clicked in often used as more controls for the games.
