Below is information on how to configure gaming systems for networked gaming I will be connecting a system to a display, Networking systems over LAN (Local Area Network), Set up a game using PC's over a LAN, connect a wireless device to a computer and connect to Xbox Live to play multiplayer.

Connecting a system to a monitor:

In the pictures below I am connecting a PC to a monitor using VGA cables.

Networking Systems over LAN

Below is the process that I have took to network two computers together to play Counter strike: Global Offensive with some friends

Firstly I plugged an Ethernet cable connecting the two computers together. Creating a LAN

Next I opened up Counter strike and clicked on find servers I created a server on the other computer and ran it.

I then clicked LAN from the ribbon which opens a page that allows you to see all servers that are being run on the LAN.

Finally I selected on the server that i wanted to join and clicked on the connect button. This takes me into the game and allows me to play against other people connected to my LAN.

After i connected to the server i chose my team and picked a gun i wanted to use, i had a quick game of counter strike and unfortunately lost because of my lack of skill.

Didn't turn out too well. :(

Connect a wireless device to a computer

In this section i will be showing how to connect a wireless speaker using Bluetooth.

This can be possible if you have a Bluetooth speaker and a computer that has Bluetooth. (most newer ones do)

Firstly to connect the devices turn on your Bluetooth speaker and the Bluetooth signal should automatically be sent out.

Next go to settings on your computer or if its touchscreen swipe from the right and hold onto the Bluetooth icon and select go to settings.

Then select which device you want to connect to and you are done. Now you can start playing songs.

Connect to Xbox Live to play Multiplayer

To play multiplayer on Xbox live you will need a gold subscription. You can easily acquire one of these in multiple ways: from most supermarkets, from a game shop and from Xbox directly and setting up a monthly payment (this is the most convenient but is the most expensive way to do it).

After you have made an account turn on your Xbox and sign into your profile that has an Xbox live gold subscription.

Next insert the disc for the game you want to play and wait for the game to load.

Once the game has loaded click on the multiplayer and you should be able to play online against people from all around the world.
